Mark’s Story

That is everyone apart from his wife. Mark’s wife has had enough and has walked away.  Now the custody of his children is in jeopardy as his drinking is getting out of control.

Alcohol has always been Mark’s friend. Every celebration or difficulty in his life pouring a drink has always helped. His friends know when enough is enough. They enjoy their social drinks but know when to stop.

For Mark, it has been a slippery slope from enjoying occasional drinks to needing to drink every single day.

He thought no one at work noticed but a colleague has commented that he smelt like he was drinking. He is starting to feel he now has more to lose than just his wife and kids as his job may be on the line.

Mark has no idea what the root cause of his drinking is or why he has come to rely on it so much.

Mark wants to stop, he doesn’t want to continue like this as he already feels he has very little control. He doesn’t know where to begin or how to get a hold of his addiction but he knows he needs to share it with someone who can help.

He has a choice. Face the fear or pour another drink.
